AboutFrom a Midwest farm girl to a rising executive, my fast-track life came to a screeching halt in 2007 when the death of my son, Shaun, left me with PTSD. Years of struggling to survive—and unraveling other past tragedies—led to a journey of self-discovery and enlightenment, along with a new career in bereavement. Where I once saw courage as being fearless in the face of big business deals, I now believe it’s found in helping others battle through the darkness after losing a loved one.
AuthorI am an author of an inspirational memoir book titled Grief Warrior which describes my journey through grief after the loss of my son. My healing path was extensive and intense with many losses. I used different therapies and techniques such as: counseling, EMDR therapy, energy work and prayer. There are many lessons, tools and techniques I discovered to help heal.My career and community involvement have given me practical knowledge to share, and the multiple traumas I’ve gone through have taught me resilience.
